Experimenting to improve Downtown open space is a key component to the Downtown Work Plan and a best practice in Downtown public realm development. The Town has installed a miniature park in front of Chapel Hill Tire to test new bike parking and seating options. The park incorporates a tire theme due to its location in front of Chapel Hill Tire. Summer camp kids from the Hargraves Community Center contributed their artwork on the tires. All are invited to bring their lunch, start a conversation, or just enjoy Downtown from this new parklet.
The mini park will serve as an experimental space for new ideas for Downtown open spaces. The Town invites your input on the site which will inform the future permanent installations. Please send any input to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to the following partners who helped with the creation of the mini park:

- Hargraves Community Center
