The tree harvest must follow the NC Forest Practices Guidelines, and specific requirements for this property, including:

  1. All timber harvesting will be completed no later than July 27, 2019, and where natural regeneration is not successful in harvested areas, replanting with Loblolly Pine shall occur prior to March 31, 2020.

  2. Access to the site by logging equipment and trucks will be limited to a location on Seawell School Road between the Railroad crossing and Hanover Place as designated in the Timber Harvest Plan.  The applicant will be responsible for repairing any damage to streets, curbs and/or sidewalks as may result from the proposed work.

The Chapel Hill Land Use Management Ordinance requires a permit for the following activity:

The practice of forestry as defined by North Carolina General Statute 105-277.2-.7 which is permitted only after an applicant submits a plan for harvesting and replanting consistent with the most current Forest Practices Guidelines Related to Water Quality published by the N.C. Department of Natural Resources and Community Development, or its successor agency.
