The Town has received an application from Clarion Associates for Orange County government to expand the Southern Human Services site at 2551 Homestead Road. The site is the location of the Orange County Seymour Senior Center, Southern Human Services Center, and Project Homestart. The application proposes to: 1) construct 300,000 square feet of floor area on a 33.2 acre site over a 25 yr. period, 2) identify three building sites for future development, and 3) construct access in the existing undeveloped Chapel Ridge Drive right-of-way on Homestead Road.
This Plan will be reviewed by the Planning Board on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 7:00 PM. at the Chapel Hill Town Operations Center, Public Works Building #1, Conference Room, 6850 Millhouse Road and the plan is tentatively scheduled to be reviewed by the Town Council on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the Southern Human Services Center at 2551 Homestead Road.
