On March 6, 2019, the Town Council authorized the negotiation of a development agreement with Kidzu Children’s Museum for a location on town-owned property on 15-501 near the Southern Community Park.

When materials or meeting information on the negotiation process becomes available, it will be posted on this site. Meanwhile, the Mayor has appointed a focus group related to this proposal. (See below)

Mayor’s Focus Group for the Southern Area

The purpose of this group is to provide input and recommendations related to redevelopment of the Southern Village Park & Ride lot and adjacent parcels.  In crafting your recommendations, the Work Group should consider the context from and connections to the Southern Community Park as well as the Obey Creek parcel which is located on the east side of S15-501.

(Mayor’s Focus Group Invitation)

They presented an update to the Council on November 20, 2019, and will continue work into 2020.
