Candidate will walk on a treadmill at a pace of three (3) miles per hour with a 5% grade incline for two (2) minutes.  Handrails shall NOT be grasped during the two (2) minute walk, only when mounting and dismounting the treadmill.

Candidate will ascend ladder to 3rd story window and touch the windowsill.  Candidate will then descend the ladder. The candidate must keep, at least, three (3) points of contact with the ladder.  When both feet are back on the ground, the clock will be stopped, temporarily, to allow the attendant to remove the belay and harness.  Once the belay and harness are removed, the candidate walks to the pink line, where the proctor gives the candidate a countdown to resume the timed test.

TIME RESUMES

Candidate will pick up the 40lb sandbag from the ground.  Candidate may carry the sandbag however he/she would like.  Candidate will carry the sandbag up to the fourth (4th) floor of the drill tower and back down.  Candidate may use the handrails.  Candidate shall not skip any steps.  Sandbag must be carried for the entire ascent and descent. There will be no penalty if the candidate drops or readjusts the sandbag.  However, if the sandbag drops and falls down the stairs, the candidate must return to the step he/she was on when the sandbag fell to continue without penalty or disqualification.  After descending the stairs and exiting the building, the candidate will place the sandbag on the ground.

Candidate will pick up two (2) 25lb dumbbells and walk 25’. around a cone and back completely across the starting line.  The candidate shall place the dumbbells back on the ground in a controlled manner.

Candidate will pick up the nozzle of the charged hose line and drag the hose line 100’. to the cone.  The candidate shall place the nozzle on the ground in a controlled manner.

Candidate will stand in the marked box and grasp the uncharged hose line.  While staying within the box, candidate will pull the hose line 50’.  The first coupling of the hose line crosses the front line of the box to signify task completion.

Candidate shall lift a fan from the ground and carry it 30’ to a table.  Candidate shall place the fan on top of the table in a controlled manner.

Candidate shall enter the drill tower and ascend the stairs to the fourth (4th) floor.  Candidate shall walk to the far window to hoist a 30lb sandbag.  Candidate shall grasp the rope and pull the sandbag up through the window and place the sandbag on the floor.  Candidate shall descend stairs and exit the building to finish this portion of the test.

TIME ENDS

Attendant will remove the helmet and weight vest from the candidate.

Candidate shall walk up to the 2nd story of the drill tower.

Attendant will assist the candidate in donning a blacked-out SCBA face piece and helmet.

Candidate shall kneel in front of the maze opening with one hand on the hose line.
