The Little Ridgefield Neighborhood has been designated by the Town Council as a Neighborhood Conservation District zoning overlay.


Notice: Some elements of the Little Ridgefield Neighborhood Conservation District are no longer enforceable by the Town due to the enactment of North Carolina Session Law 2015-86, which became law on June 19, 2015.


The Little Ridgefield Neighborhood was the ninth neighborhood in Chapel Hill to become a Neighborhood Conservation District; therefore, it is referenced as CD-9.

Neighborhood Conservation District (NCD) Zoning Overlay is a set of land use regulations that is applied to a specific neighborhood as a zoning overlay. Any new construction or additions must comply with the Neighborhood Conservation District regulations.

Little Ridgefield Neighborhood Conservation District Plan and Design Guidelines

On February 23, 2015, the Town Council amended the Zoning Atlas to include the Little Ridgefield Neighborhood Conservation District zoning overlay.

The Little Ridgefield Neighborhood Conservation District Plan outlines the regulations for the neighborhood. Any new construction or additions must comply with these regulations.
