Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, sealed proposals for the Roof Replacement – Public Works Campus (the “Project) to be furnished to the Town of Chapel Hill, N.C. will be received by Zakia Alam, Purchasing and Contracts Manager, at the Town Hall in the First Floor Conference Room #102, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27514, until 2:00 p.m., on October 9, 2025, at which time they will be opened and publicly read. Please allow extra time for parking, as it may be necessary to park at the East Rosemary Deck located at 125 E. Rosemary Street, .03 miles from the Town Hall, or at alternative locations.
Prospective bidders may view the plans and specifications for the proposed project on the Town of Chapel Hill website (www.townofchapelhill.org. Click on “Businesses” menu, then “Bid Notices” option, then the name of this project)
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on September 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Streets and Construction Crews’ rooms (273 & 274) at Building #2, 6850 Millhouse Road, Chapel Hill, NC, 27516. All potential bidders are hereby notified that attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference is required for bids to be considered by the Town of Chapel Hill; failure to attend will disqualify the bid.
Note: Contractors who attended the first pre-bid on August 7, 2025, are not required to attend.
Bidders will have to acknowledge all addenda (including 1 & 2).
The Project Manager for this project is Forrest Heath, Public Works, Town of Chapel Hill. All requests for interpretations related to this RFB must be submitted in writing to the Project Manager at fheath@townofchapelhill.org by 3:00 p.m. on September 26, 2025. All responses to timely submitted requests for interpretations will be issued as an addendum (Addendum 3) and will be posted on the town website www.townofchapelhill.org on October 3, 2025.
