Update 7/18/2025:  Addendum 2 has been posted below. This Addendum extends the Bid submission date to 7/23/2025.

Update 7/17/2025:  Addendum 1 has been posted below. This Addendum provides answers to the questions that we have received and the scope of work.

The Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Affordable Housing and Community Connections Department requests bids from qualified Contractors for Restoration Services for its 18 public housing units located in the Airport Gardens neighborhood. These units were affected by Tropical Storm Chantal.

Please note that there will be an optional pre-bid site visit on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, 10:00 AM at Airport Gardens, 821 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

All questions must be received in writing by Ryan Campbell, AHCC Assistant Director at rcampbell@townofchapelhill.org no later than 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. If necessary, the Town will issue a written addendum to clarify any issues raised. The addendum will be posted on the town website, www.townofchapelhill.org on July 17, 2025. Any oral explanations or instructions given by Town staff will not be binding on the Town.

Bids are due by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2025. Please email the bids as a pdf attached to the email to Zakia Alam, Purchasing and Contracts Manager, at zalam@townofchapelhill.org with “Restoration Services in Airport Gardens Neighborhood” in the subject line. A contract will be awarded as soon as possible after the bid closing, and the awarded contractor is expected to start work immediately after receiving the notice to proceed.

 The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason or no reason and to accept the bid most favorable to the Town of Chapel Hill.
