The North Carolina Department of Transportation announced Monday that the Town of Chapel Hill and UNC-Chapel Hill will continue as partners in the Watch for Me NC campaign.

The Watch for Me NC campaign is a comprehensive approach to reducing incidents and fatalities in North Carolina involving people who bike and people who walk.

The Town of Chapel Hill and UNC-Chapel Hill join Carrboro, Durham, Duke, N.C. Central, Raleigh, N.C. State and nine other cities, colleges and universities throughout the state as existing partners.

This is part of an ongoing effort by the Town of Chapel Hill to make it safer for people walking and biking. For more information on the Town’s efforts, visit http://www.townofchapelhill.org/town-hall/news-events/current-issues/pedestrian-and-cyclist-safety.
