Town of Chapel Hill Services Update: 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21

Town of Chapel Hill offices will remain closed to the public until 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21.

  • Chapel Hill Transit will resume on a limited schedule beginning at 9 a.m.

    • NS (serving Eubanks and Southern Village park and rides)

    • S (serving Friday Center park and ride)

    • The 420 will not operate.
    • Demand Response (EZ Rider) will begin no earlier than 10am.
    • Other routes will come on line as conditions and staffing allows and will be updated at www.townofchapelhill.org/transit and at www.twitter.com/chtransit.
  • Chapel Hill Public Library will open at 10 a.m. There are no late fees for the time the library was closed.
  • Parks & Recreation facilities will open at 10 a.m. However, the Homestead Aquatic Center and the Community Center pool will remain closed on Friday due to ongoing maintenance.
  • Yard waste collection for Friday is canceled. The normal schedule will resume Monday. Commercial solid waste collection will be postponed until Saturday.

  • UNC-Chapel Hill will continue Condition 2 – Suspended Operations/Classes Canceled until 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21. For additional information, visit alertcarolina.unc.edu or unc.edu.
