Town of Chapel Hill Services Update: 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20

The Town of Chapel Hill may adjust some services Friday due to cold overnight and early-morning temperatures.

  • The Town of Chapel Hill will provide an update on the opening of facilities by 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21. Public safety officials will continue to operate overnight; if you need emergency assistance, please call 911.
  • Chapel Hill Transit will resume limited service no earlier than 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21. Staff will evaluate routes early Friday morning and service updates will be announced no later than 6:30 a.m. Friday.     • CM
    • D
    • G
    • J
    • NS (serving Eubanks and Southern Village park and rides)
    • NU
    • RU
    • S (serving Friday Center park and ride)
    • U
    • The 420 will not operate.
    • Demand Response (EZ Rider) will begin no earlier than 10am.
  • Parks & Recreation facilities will follow the Town’s operating schedule on Friday. However, the Homestead Aquatic Center and the Community Center pool will remain closed on Friday due to ongoing maintenance.

Local Schools

  • UNC-Chapel Hill will continue Condition 2 – Suspended Operations/Classes Canceled until 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21. For additional information, visit alertcarolina.unc.edu or unc.edu.
