Chapel Hill Transit closes stop as University begins construction on new Medical Education Building

Post Date:01/10/2020 3:00 PM

Carrington Hall bus stop closed

The bus stop at S. Columbia Street at Carrington Hall will close this week as construction begins on the new Medical Education building. Chapel Hill Transit is advising all users of this stop to transition to S. Columbia at Health Sciences Library during this closure.

The Medical Education Building will replace Berryhill Hall on UNC's campus. The building will be eight stories tall and will provide over 170,000 square feet, allowing the medical student class to grow within a space that is both flexible and provides state-of-the-art support.

The overall project is planned to be completed in the summer of 2022. For questions or comments email: chtransit@townofchapelhill.org or call 919.969.4900.
