The Chapel Hill Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Perkins Drive.
The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UNC Hospitals for further evaluation.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at 6:27 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2019. The vehicle was traveling north on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and struck the person walking north of Perkins Drive.
The scene has been cleared, and traffic is flowing normally again.
The crash is under investigation. There are no additional details available at this time.
