Parks and Recreation Releases 2020 Winter-Spring Programs
Post Date:12/09/2019 8:00 AM
This time of year, Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation celebrates the winter season with programs and events like a Valentines dance at The Corner Teen Center, our Adventure Fest at the Chapel Hill Community Center, and our Black History Month Brunch at the Seymour Senior Center. We hope that you and your family will join us at one or more of these free activities!
In an effort to be innovative and creative, we’re also proud to introduce several new programs including Let it Snow at the Hargraves Center, and Art in the Park at the Chapel Hill Community Center. More information on all of our winter and spring programs are listed our new program guide.
As warmer weather makes its appearance again next spring, it will be time to think about summer fun! On March 10, registration begins for our summer camps. A NEW Summer Camp Guide will be distributed in print on January 20, including numerous options for kids who love arts, sports, outdoors, science, swimming, technology, and more.
Browse all our programs and register online at www.chapelhillparks.org, or pick up your own printed copy of our activity brochure at one of our recreation or aquatic centers, Chapel Hill Public Library, Chapel Hill Public Housing offices, or Town Hall.
RESIDENTS (persons living in or owning property in Orange County or Chapel Hill town limits) may register beginning 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6; NON-RESIDENTS may register beginning 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13.
Our new Parks and Recreation Director, Phillip Fleischmann would like to learn more about your experiences with us and your leisure needs and ideas. Please drop in to meet him and other members of the department’s leadership team at one of the following informal “meet and greet” sessions scheduled this fall and winter.
