FUTURE LAND USE MAP

The Town of Chapel Hill continues the journey to chart the next course and to think about the future of Chapel Hill.

Review and provide your opinions and ideas about draft maps and descriptions indicating how the Town may grow and develop to the year 2049 at a Drop-In Studio to be held from 5:15 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6.  The traveling studio will be at The Courtyard by Marriott – Chapel Hill, 100 Marriott Way, Chapel Hill, NC 27517

Feel free to drop in anytime between 5:15 and 7 p.m., and Town staff will be available to answer questions and discuss this Charting Our Future effort.

The feedback from this meeting and from other input opportunities will assist with an update to the Land Use Plan in Chapel Hill 2020, which depicts intended future uses for each piece of property in Town. This update is predominantly limited to commercial areas in Town, so most land uses will not change. This revised plan will guide revisions to the Town’s Land Use Management Ordinance (LUMO) or “rule book” for development.

If you cannot attend this studio session, you can review and comment on the draft maps and descriptions at ChartingOurFuture.info utilizing an online mapping tool.   The tool will be available online through Nov. 15, 2019.
