You’re invited to share your views via a public survey available at https://arcg.is/0v8COT. The survey will be open through Oct. 20.
More opportunities to get involved in this topic include:
- Short Term Rentals Open House: Drop in anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the Seymour Senior Center, (Ashe and Birch Rooms) 2551 Homestead Road.
- Short Term Rentals Task Force: Applications are being accepted through Sept. 24 for a task force to make recommendations to the Town Council on local regulations. Learn more about the charge of the task force and apply at www.townofchapelhill.org/boards.
Short Term Rentals (STRs) are rentals of housing units for 30 days or less. These are often offered through web hosting platforms such as Airbnb, VRBO, or Homeaway. STRs can be either a room or rooms in a dwelling unit or a whole unit rental that is rented to visitors for a specified period of time.
