Public Meeting on the Historic Rogers Road Sewer Expansion Project
How to Connect to the New Sewer System
Construction of the Historic Rogers Road Sewer Expansion Project began in September 2017. We expect that the newly constructed gravity sewer system will be inspected and certified for public use in July 2019. Property owners within the Historic Rogers Road area will soon be able to begin the process for connecting to the new public sewer system upon request.
The Rogers Road Project Team is hosting a public meeting to discuss the process for connecting to the new sewer system and answer any additional questions and concerns from the community. We will be handing out informational brochures and materials at this public meeting that describe the “WHOs”, “WHATs”, “WHENs”, “WHYs” and “HOWs” specific to the connection process and the public funding assistance programs that are currently available.
The public meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at at the Faith Tabernacle Oasis of Love Church located at 8005 Rogers Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
If you are unable to attend the public meeting but have questions or concerns related to connecting to the new sewer system, please feel free to contact:
Christopher J. Sandt, P.E.
Orange County Staff Engineer
Orange County Administrative Assistant III
The informational brochures and materials distributed at this public meeting will remain publically available subsequent to the meeting.
Thank you for your active participation and patience during the collective planning and construction phases of this important public infrastructure improvement project. We look forward to meeting with the community.
