Summer is here, which means it’s time to get out and explore the great things happening at your local parks and recreation centers. This July, join in on the fun and games offered by Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation as we celebrate National Park and Recreation Month. A variety of fun activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities. So lace up and get in the game!

Park and Recreation Month is an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). This year’s theme is Game On, inviting you to get in the game. With everything from outdoor adventure programs, family art projects, and fitness and dance programs, there are plenty of ways that you can celebrate with us!

“Public parks and recreation are the gateways to a healthier, more livable community. Everyone needs the opportunity for self-enrichment, adventure, fellowship and quiet reflection,” said Marketing and Sponsorship Manager Wes Tilghman.
