A Call for Volunteers for Parks and Recreation's annual “Haunted Hill” Halloween carnival.
Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation is delighted to announce its annual “Haunted Hill” held at the Community Center Park (120 S. Estes Dr.) on Saturday, October 20th. The event features a trunk-or-treat, games, activities, glow in the dark climb, and a movie in the park (Coco)!
We are looking for organizations, businesses, and individuals to volunteer to participate in the Trunk-or-Treat. Trunk-or-Treat provides a fun and safe form of trick-or-treating. We are asking for participants to decorate their vehicle’s trunk and provide prepackaged candy. We had a record-setting crowd of around 1,000 participants last year!
This event is catered towards youth 12 and under, so decorations should be festive but not scary. We will need for cars to arrive between
3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the event evening, which will allow for 60 minutes of set up. The Trunk-or-Treat portion of the evening will end at 6:30 p.m., and cars will be allowed to exit shortly after. This year we will be offering prizes for the best trunk, the most creative trunk, and the people’s choice trunk!
