Festifall Welcomes Artists for 46th Annual Festival
On Sunday, Oct. 7, the Festifall Arts Festival, presented by Erie Insurance, will once again bring art, color, music, craftsmanship, food and fun to vibrant downtown Chapel Hill. The festival will feature more than 100 artisans from all over the South. From noon to 6 p.m., find the finest in painting, photography, jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodworking, metal, fiber and mixed media artworks on West Franklin Street.
Browsing for the perfect handmade gift isn’t all there is to enjoy. The interactive zone is returning this year, hosting activities and performances designed especially for those young and young-at-heart festival-goers. Kidzu Children’s Museum and The Morehead Planetarium will offer free creative learning and play for budding artists of all kinds, while vendors like Spin Art and the Clay Studio will offer free interactive art activities. And throughout, the festival showcases music, dance and comedy performances at three stages along West Franklin Street.
This is a free event for all ages, and parking is free throughout downtown in town-owned lots and side streets.
Festifall is sponsored by Chapel Hill Magazine, the News and Observer, 97.9 The Hill WCHL, and WUNC FM.
