What should Chapel Hill look like in 2049? Take the Survey!

Chapel Hill is refining its Future Land Use Map focusing on six areas of interest that are located along the Town’s major streets. This map will guide the Town as to where shopping, houses, apartments, townhomes, offices, and parks should be located -- and how much of each should go in each location.

To tell us what you think Chapel Hill should look like in 2049, go to ChartingOurFuture.info and take an online preference survey.  The survey will be available online through September.

Town staff are available to answer questions and discuss the planning effort with the public on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through September at the Police Substation at University Place.  You can also take the online survey during these Drop In Hours at University Place. When you visit with Town staff at University Place, enter into a drawing for Silverspot Cinema Gift Cards.  The Police Substation is located in the hallway near Southern Seasons and is labeled as D11 on this map of University Place

Town staff will be visiting various community events asking attendees to take the online survey, using mobile devices, including Outdoor Movie on the Village Green at Southern Village on Aug. 11 and Movies under the Stars on Aug. 16.
