Chapel Hill Arts Commission Needs Members
Do you live in Chapel Hill? Do you have an interest in advocating for arts and culture in your community? Do you want to influence arts policy and programming in Chapel Hill, now and in the future?
If this sounds like you, then consider applying for one of several vacancies on the Chapel Hill Arts Commission. The commission advises Town Council and staff on matters relating to the arts (from selection of public art to Town-funded arts programs and events) and advocates for the arts as a top community priority. Members of the commission commit to monthly meetings and occasional other volunteer duties, while serving generally as champions of the arts in the community.
We hope to build a diverse board that truly represents our great community. While applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, for this recruitment, preference will be given to applications received by Monday, Aug. 6. For more information about the commission and to apply, visit www.townofchapelhill.org/boards.
