This weekend is the 2018 UNC Science Expo. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, this free, family-friendly event will offer more than 100 fascinating exhibits with hands-on experiments, riveting demonstrations, laboratory tours, stage entertainment and much more! This NC Science Festival signature event, showcasing the wonders of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), is a partnership between Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, the University of North Carolina and the Town of Chapel Hill – a true “town-gown” experience.

On the stage you’ll find acts like the Bouncing Bulldogs, Raleigh Rockers and Duane Deardorff.  Also, you can enjoy shows involving science demos and PIT (People’s Improv Troupe) will be on hand to keep the crowd entertained.

While walking around be sure to check out booths like NC Green Power, Chapel Hill Farmer’s Market, Orange County Bee Keepers Association, Citizen’s Climate Lobby, Kidzu Children’s Museum, Hope Gardens, Paint Savvy face painting and many more.

There will be a food truck court featuring local favorites. Bring your own water bottle to enjoy some fresh, clean water from the OWASA Water Wagon. Stop by the Expo Information booth on Cameron Ave for an event map and other pertinent information.
