On three nights this summer, Chapel Hill residents can enjoy a family-friendly outdoor movie in a new location - the East side of UNC-Chapel Hill's McCorkle place, next to Morehead Planetarium.
After being rained out of its original show time, the popular animated movie Frozen is back on the screen this Thursday, June 27. The movie will start at about 8:00. Viewers should bring chairs. We'll provide the popcorn.
Thursday, July 18: We'll show the family-favorite School of Rock at 8:00, and Chapel Hill's School of Rock will play a pre-show gig at 7:30.
Thursday, August 8: We'll show the Spanish language version of the Disney-Pixar hit Coco at 8:00, and a Mariachi band will give a pre-show performance at 7:30.
The annual “Movies Under the Stars” series, co-sponsored by the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership and the Town’s Division of Community Arts & Culture, is moving to McCorkle Place and bringing on the Carolina Union Activities Board as a new partner.
