On three nights this summer, Chapel Hill residents can enjoy a family-friendly outdoor movie in a new location - the East side of UNC-Chapel Hill's McCorkle place, next to Morehead Planetarium.
We'll be showing the Spanish language version of the Disney Pixar hit Coco with the show starting at 8:30. We'll start with the Tacos Las Gringas food truck and a performance by the band Mariachi De Mi Tierra at 7:30. Viewers should bring chairs. We'll provide the popcorn.
For more information about parking, visit parkonthehill.com. On-street parking is free after 6:00 pm and after 8:00 pm in public decks and lots, including Wallace Deck, the closest to McCorkle Place.
The annual “Movies Under the Stars” series, co-sponsored by the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership and the Town’s Division of Community Arts & Culture, is moving to McCorkle Place and bringing on the Carolina Union Activities Board as a new partner.
