EZ Rider
EZ Rider is a special service which uses lift equipped vehicles to transport individuals with mobility limitations that prevent them from using Chapel Hill Transit’s regular bus service.
THE SERVICE IS FREE FOR ELIGIBLE PERSONS.
Service is available:
- 6:15am - 6:15pm on Weekdays
- 8:00am - 6:30pm on Saturdays
EZ Rider patrons may also use the EVENING & SUNDAY Shared Ride service at no charge.
To use EZ Rider, you MUST:
- Have your doctor complete a Certification Form. The form is also available by calling 968-2755/2772.
- Be able to meet the driver at your door.
- Carry no more than FOUR grocery size packages per trip.
To Schedule an EZ Rider Trip, call 969-5544 Monday - Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm, Saturday between 8:30am and 5:00pm, and Sunday between 9:30am and 1:30pm.
Please give the reservationist:
- Your name
- Your destination,
and
- Your return trip schedule, if possible.
Trips may be scheduled up to 1 week in advance.
Subscription service: When traveling the same days & times each week, you may be eligible for the subscription service. Subscriptions are available for up to 6 months at a time. Download the subscription form here. Mail the subscription form to
