Where and when may I catch the bus?   Bus stops (many with shelters and benches) are located throughout Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Bus stop signs are blue with white lettering. Drivers are not allowed to pick-up or discharge passengers at locations other than at the bus stop. To catch a bus at one of the stops, check the bus schedule and be sure that you are standing on the correct side of the road for which the bus is traveling. As the bus approaches, check the destination sign above the windshield to be sure it is the bus you want. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the bus driver for assistance. 2. How do I pay?   All standard routes are fare-free. Fares are still charged for Tar Heel Express, Orange County Public Transportation, and Triangle Transit. Shared Ride Evening/Sunday Service requires the use of Chapel Hill Transit bus tickets. 3. How do I load a bike on the bus?   Every bus is equipped with a bike rack on the front.
