Chapel Hill Transit Service Alert: Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

Chapel Hill Transit services, including the GoTriangle 420 Route, will not operate on Monday, May 30, 2016, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Chapel Hill Transit services will resume on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. 

Bus Stop on South Columbia Between Coolidge and Chase

Beginning Friday, May 6, 2016, Chapel Hill Transit buses will serve the northbound bus stop on South Columbia Street between Coolidge Street and Chase Avenue, just past Spanish for Fun Academy (please see attached map). Over the summer, Chapel Hill Transit will evaluate the stop and may make adjustments on how the stop is served, based on operational needs. 

Chapel Hill Transit Service Alert Reminder: D and Saturday D Routes Temporarily Detoured Starting April 30, 2016, Due to Construction Activity near Rams Plaza

Chapel Hill Transit will implement minor detours for the D and Saturday D routes starting Saturday, April 30, 2016, due to construction activity near Rams Plaza. The routes will be detoured along Legion Road, from Ephesus Church Road. During the detour the routes will not serve stops on the Frontage Road between Rams Plaza (Rams Plaza, Quality Inn and McDonalds) and the Europa Drive at Sheraton (Duck Pond) stop. A temporary stop will be located at Clover Drive and Legion Road for customers going to/from Rams Plaza. The Europa Drive at Sheraton timepoint will be move to Legion Road at Britthaven.  

Chapel Hill Transit will make every attempt to maintain schedules, but is advising customers to expect delays and to allow extra travel time during the detour. The detour and any delays will also impact Next­Bus predictions for the routes.

 

 

Chapel Hill Transit operates fixed-route and demand-respone service throughout the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro with connecting routes to the regional transit provider, GoTriangle.
