(UPDATED) A and Saturday T Route Detoured due to OWASA Project

Chapel Hill Transit will implement a minor detour for the A and Saturday T Route beginning on Monday, June, 27, 2016, due to street closures as a result OWASA's East Rosemary Water Replacement Project.  The construction project will affect all northbound vehicular traffic on Hillsborough Street and is expected to last one month.

The A route will be detoured from Raleigh Street (northbound), left on Franklin Street, right on Columbia Street resuming normal routing at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Hillsborough Street.  The southbound Weekday A trips will follow normal routing.

The Saturday T route will be detoured from Raleigh Street (northbound), left on Franklin Street, right on Columbia Street to Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, left on Umstead Drive resuming normal routing.  The southbound Saturday T trips will follow normal routing.

The northbound bus stops along Hillsborough Street from Franklin Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed during this detour.  Customers may use alternative stops on Franklin Street at Pickard Lane and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Hillsborough Street.

CHT will make every attempt to maintain schedules, but is advising customers to expect delays and to allow extra travel time due to this detour. The detour and any delays will also impact NextBus predictions for the routes.
