S. Greensboro Street Waterline Replacement Project May Cause Delays for J Route
Beginning Monday, August 1st, the S. Greensboro Street waterline replacement project taking place between the NC54 bypass and Old Pittsboro Road in Carrboro may cause delays for Chapel Hill Transit’s J Route. The project will affect all vehicular, pedestrian and bicyclist traffic on S. Greensboro Street and is expected to last around 40 days.
The project will not cause any route detours and the bus stops on S. Greensboro Street will remain open. Chapel Hill Transit will make every attempt to maintain the J route schedule, but is advising customers to expect delays and to allow extra travel time due to this project. Please note that delays will also impact NextBus predictions for the J route.
Chapel Hill Transit operates fixed-route and demand-respone service throughout the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro with connecting routes to the regional transit provider, GoTriangle.
