Parking Tickets

The Parking Services Division strives to provide safe, equal parking opportunities through the enforcement of various parking ordinances. Parking Officers also provide assistance to the general public by answering citizen or visitor questions while on patrol.

What Happens After You Receive A Parking Citation?
A First Notice of Outstanding Parking Citation is sent to the registered owner's address explaining that a ticket has been issued. The notice includes a description of the violation, the license plate number and the amount due.

If the citation is paid within 21 calendar days from the issue date of the ticket, no more action is required. The citation does not affect vehicle insurance as it is not a moving violation.

If the citation is not paid, and the registered owner of the vehicle does not contest the citation, a Second Notice is sent, the citation becomes delinquent and a $10.00 late fee is added onto the fine for administrative costs. If the citation is not paid within 14 calendar days, a Third Notice is sent and an additional $10.00 late fee will be added to the total penalty.
