Advisory Boards Submittals (May-August, 2013)

The Southern Village Hotel and Apartments Project comprises a Special Use Permit Application for construction of a hotel and apartments, a Zoning Atlas Amendment Application to rezone the property to allow for the proposed project, and two other associated modifications necessary to adjust existing regulatory boundaries. A separate application, Southern Village Core Special Use Permit Modification, has been submitted to modify the mix of uses in the Village Core.

The Town has received six applications from Bryan Properties for property in Southern Village:

 The individual applications are:

1. To rezone a 3.48-acre site between US 15-501 South and Barksdale Dr. from Residential-2 and Residential-5-Conditional to Mixed Use Village: Application, Narrative and Statement of Justification  

2. To construct, with a Special Use Permit, a 115-125 room hotel and either an 68 unit apartment or 48,000 square foot office building on the 3.48-acre site: Application, Narrative and Statement of Justification

3. To modify the Southern Village Master Land Use Plan boundary: Application, Narrative and Statement of Justification

4. To modify the Southern Village Apartment Special Use Permit to exclude a portion of the hotel/apartment site from said boundaries: Application, Narrative and Statement of Justification 

5. To modify the Southern Village, Village Core Special Use Permit to permit greater flexibility in the ratio of uses: Application, Narrative and Statement of Justification 

6. To amend Section 3.5.1 of the Land Use Management Ordinance to modify the mix of uses in the Village Mixed-Use District: Southern Village Text Amendment Request
