Concept Plan Review: September 22, 2010 

On April 21st, 2014, the Town issued a Zoning Compliance Permit allowing an expansion to the Ronald McDonald House at 101 Old Mason Farm Road. The site is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Old Mason Farm Road and Fordham Blvd across from the NC Botanical Garden and adjacent to the SECU Family House on the east and the Highland Woods neighborhood on the north. The proposed development includes: demolition of two existing buildings, construction of seven new buildings providing meeting and staff office space, guest rooms, cooking/dining, and gathering space for a total of 15,891 square feet. A covered walkway, courtyard, and port cochere are also proposed. A new parking area providing for 16 vehicles, four bicycle spaces, and a drop–off are proposed. Vehicular access to the site is proposed from two entrances on Old Mason Farm Road. The 4.8-acre site is located in the Office/Institutional-2 (OI-2) zoning district and the Watershed Protection District, and identified as Orange County Parcel Identifier Number 9788-54-5304
