Current Status

Council approved funding to help create a co-working facility as a component of Launch Chapel Hill.  Newly renovated space is now available for lease.

A partnership to create Stage 2 space also remains a possibility; discussions on this topic are ongoing, with a decision point expected by the end of 2017.

Technology Solutions continues to work with the Public Works and the Planning and Sustainability departments to ensure technology infrastructure ( wireless, fiber, etc.) are included in the planning for construction projects public improvement projects and new developments throughout the Town.  This helps current and potential businesses as well as positioning the Town for upcoming transportation changes with vehicle to vehicle communication and autonomous vehicles.
