Volunteers Needed to Help Plan Chapel Hill Events

Download a Special Events Planning Committee Application

The Town of Chapel Hill is seeking volunteers to serve on special events planning committees for the July 4th Celebration and the annual Festifall Arts Festival in October.

The Town’s Parks and Recreation Department organizes a special events planning committee that works with a staff liaison to plan, develop, and evaluate special Town events. Committees usually meet monthly and may meet more frequently as the event time draws near. Planning meetings are scheduled to begin in March.

The Parks and Recreation Department creates and promotes leisure, cultural, and entertaining events that represent the fabric of our community, enrich the quality of life for residents, and provide a positive economic impact for our community.

To get involved, print and complete an application and email to Wes Tilghman at wtilghman@townofchapelhill.org or fax to 919-932-2923.

You may also call 919-968-2823 for an application or for more information. There is no deadline for applications.
