The Town seal depicts the goddess Athena, who is recognized as the protector of cities. Used as the graphic identifying logo for the Town, it was created in the 1930s, updated in 1989 and again in 2005.
Considered the mythical goddess of wisdom, Athena remains a symbol of civilization, useful knowledge, noble reasoning, logic and wisdom. The logo is registered as a trademark.
The Town seal cannot be used by any individual or organization without the expressed written consent of the Town Manager. The Town seal may be used in conjunction with events that the Town is sponsoring or co-sponsoring. The seal may not be used at events that merely are held on Town property or that are produced by outside organizations. For more information,contact the Town Information Officer at
