Join us for a live performance by the Paperhand Puppet Intervention and Youth Performing Arts Conservatory. Educational workshops and demonstrations, creative activities for kids, and Chapel Hill's first town sponsored Swap-O-Rama-Rama by the Scrap Exchange! On-site recycling and composting facilities will be provided.
Starve the Landfill....Feed the Earth
Learn how to compost at Earth Action Day! Muriel Williman of Orange County Solid Waste Management will teach the basics of composting outdoors or indoors with worms, also known as vermicomposting. She will discuss various composting recipes, container types, techniques and basic composting does and don’ts. Anyone can compost, anywhere! Honest! Come to this informative workshop and learn how your kitchen scraps will make rich, nutritious humus for your plants and landscapes.
