Town of Chapel Hill will be receiving our 10th Tree City USA award.
The Town’s annual Arbor Day celebration will be held this year at Southern Community Park on Friday, November 20th at 11:00am with students from Scroggs Elementary School.
Each year in November the Town celebrates trees at its Arbor Day ceremony by planting one or more trees at a Town-owned facility such as a park or entryway.
Second grade students from Scroggs Elementary School will help plant the ceremonial tree and present what they have learned about trees in the form of “poetree,” artwork, and song.
