Chapel Hill Named No. 3 Most Exciting Small Cities in America

PHOTO Halloween on Franklin StreetChapel Hill has been named one of the 10 Most Exciting Small Cities in America by movoto.com. Chapel Hill ranked third overall, fourth for active life options and 14th for nightlife.

Small cities with populations between 50,000 and 60,000 were given a score based on the following criteria:

  • Nightlife per capita
  • Live music venues per capita
  • Active life options per capita
  • Fast Food restaurants per capita
  • Percentage of restaurants that are fast food
  • Percentage of residents ages 20 to 34
