Rich and Single in Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill ranks as one of the Best Places for the Rich and Single, according to CNN Money Magazine. (money.cnn.com/galleries/2010/moneymag/1007/gallery.best_places_rich_single.moneymag/9.html)
The magazine reported that 50.6 percent of the Chapel Hill population is single, and the median family income is $106,865. Those stats give Chapel Hill ninth place in a list of 25 cities.
"This college town has a lively nightlife, rowdy Tar Heel games and home-style cooking for singles of all ages to enjoy,” the article stated.
Also in August 2010, Chapel Hill was included in the list of Best Places to Live in America (link) by CNN Money Magazine. This recognition ties in closely with numerous other rankings that praise the livability of the community. In 2009, Chapel Hill was named “Most Livable City” in America by the Mayors’ City Livability Awards Program.
