Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation releases Fall Programs
Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation has released their Fall 2018 program guide and registration begins Monday August 6 at 8:30 a.m.. This fall, all ages can participate through a broad assortment of activities, such as SNAP Photography, Youth Rock Climbing Club, and other Adventure Programs. The Department’s programs were rated #4 by the community for satisfaction with Town services, and are a great way to get involved with the community, learn something new, and have fun!
Explore rock-climbing this summer through Chapel Hill Community Center’s Indoor Climbing Rock Wall! There’s something for everyone at the rock wall, with activities such as the Youth Climbing Club, a great way to encourage kids to exercise and overcome challenges, while making new friends and having fun! Or, if you’re looking to exercise, rock-climbing will help you stay fit and healthy, while you learn something new. No matter your age or background, the wall has something for every skill level, with over 30 different routes. Adventure staff are also always available to assist with safety checks and offer guidance.
Make sure to browse and register for activities soon using our Online Registration, the website offers a simple layout with all available programs listed.
Residents who live in or own property in Orange County or Chapel Hill town limits, may register beginning 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 6. Non-residents may register beginning 8:30 a.m. Monday, August 13.

Make sure to grab your own 23-page guide to all things parks and recreation, with color pictures, a new feature article and a table of contents. The program guide, titled “RECREATE - Inspire, Create, Preserve” is available for download at www.chapelhillparks.org, or you can pick up a printed copy of your own at one of our recreation centers, aquatics centers, Town Hall and the Chapel Hill Public Library.
