Introduction to Development Agreements
A public informational session on the development agreement process will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19 in the Council Chamber of Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
A development agreement is a unique development tool for large projects, and two development agreements are currently being pursued in Chapel Hill:
- The future Municipal Services Center project on Estes Drive
- The Amity Station project at Amity Court and West Rosemary Street
Arrest Made in Tuesday's Sexual Assault
The Chapel Hill Police Department arrested Kameron Dwayne Ballen of Althorp Drive, Raleigh, at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, for a sexual assault reported on Tuesday, Oct. 10. He was arrested on Pinegate Circle in Chapel Hill and charged with one felony count of second-degree forcible rape.
Ballen is being held at the Orange County Jail under a $200,000 secured bond.
Previously released: The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking information about a sexual assault that was reported at around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10.
The victim reported the suspect as a dark-skinned, black male, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and approximately 20 years old. The incident was reported in the area of Eastowne Drive, near U.S. Highway 15-501 (Fordham Boulevard) and I-40.
