PEOPLE BOARDING A BUSChapel Hill Transit Needs Your Input!

The Chapel Hill Transit service area is continuing to grow and how people get around is changing. Building on past planning work, Chapel Hill Transit is conducting a Short-Range Transit Plan (SRTP) that will service as a roadmap for the next 10 years and position the system for continued future success. This plan is being developed in coordination with similar short range transit planning efforts being undertaken by Orange Public Transportation and GoTriangle.

News Release from OWASA

Sewer Repair on Prestwick Road will involve night work Wednesday

Post Date:09/13/2017 9:56 AM

A contractor for the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) for the sewer repair on Prestwick Road will work Wednesday night, Sept. 13, until around 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14. Work will occur at the end of Prestwick Road near the Glenwood Elementary School entrance. No changes in the traffic lanes are anticipated.

Nearby residents and businesses will notice noise from heavy machinery, engines and vehicles.

There will also be a boiler at the work site and citizens may notice steam and ammonia-like odors.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we work to complete the repair, which will help prevent wastewater overflows.

OWASA's contractor's normal work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact Simon Lobdell at smlobdell@owasa.org or 919-537-4247.
