Homegrown Halloween: Tuesday, Oct. 31

The Town of Chapel Hill continues its preparation efforts for the night of Halloween (Tuesday, Oct. 31) with the focus on safety for people and property.

“We launch a massive cooperative effort to encourage safety at Halloween on Franklin Street,” said Town Manager Roger Stancil. “We are in this together – Town, University, students, businesses and residents – in support of our community and its many visitors.” Click here to read more.

A.D. Clark Outdoor Pool Opens May 27

A.D. Clark Pool at Hargraves Center

The A.D. Clark Pool at the Hargraves Community Center, 216 N. Roberson St., will open for the 2017 summer season at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 27.

The free outdoor swimming pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The 25-meter pool offers a zero-depth entry pool, locker rooms, showers and a family changing area. There is a wading pool for pre-school aged children and toddlers (swim diapers required).

Opening Weekend Schedule:
Saturday, May 27: noon–7 p.m.
Sunday, May 28: noon–7 p.m.
Monday, May 29: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
