The Town of Chapel Hill’s annual Arbor Day celebration will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Chapel Hill Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., in the parking lot on the corner of Columbia and Stevens streets.

Suzie Roth’s third grade class from Northside Elementary School will participate and do a presentation of The Giving Tree.

Chapel Hill Transit Safe Rides will end on Saturday, April 29, 2017, due to the University of North Carolina summer break schedule and will resume on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017.

Safe Ride is a service funded by the UNC-Chapel Hill Student Government for the safety of students.

Chapel Hill Transit is the public transportation provider that serves Chapel Hill, Carrboro and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
