Trash collection will not occur today, but we plan to reschedule Monday's makeup day for Friday, weather permitting. All yard waste collection this week will be CANCELLED with no make-up day. Transit service suspended until further notice; Library and Parks & Recreation facilities closed Wednesday. The Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday night has been cancelled.

Chapel Hill Transit HS and Senior Shuttle Detoured Due to Homestead Road Closure

Chapel Hill Transit is detouring the HS and Senior Shuttle routes on Homestead Road until further notice due to a house fire on Homestead at Weaver Dairy.  Homestead Road is completely blocked from Southern Human Services to Sewell School Road.

The routes will be detoured as follows:

HS Route - Detoured along Rogers Road to Eubanks to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Senior Shuttle – Will turnaround at Southern Human Services and will be detoured along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Estes Drive to North Greensboro to Old Fayetteville Road.
