The Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO) is seeking public feedback on the proposed 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) report, which will drive future policies and decision-making processes for highway, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit projects. Most municipal offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.
RESIDENTIAL REFUSE COLLECTION: No yard waste collection this week. Residential trash collection will not be affected.
CURBSIDE RECYCLING: No collection Nov. 23. Thursday routes will be collected Saturday, Nov. 25.
COMMERCIAL REFUSE COLLECTION: No trash collection Thursday and Friday. These routes will be collected by the end of the week.
ORANGE COUNTY LANDFILL will be closed.
SOLID WASTE CONVENIENCE CENTERS will be closed Thursday and open Friday.
CHAPEL HILL TRANSIT will not operate on Thursday. On Friday, Nov. 24, and Saturday, Nov. 25, Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule for routes CM, CW, D, FG, JN, T and V. U or NU routes will not operate. EZ Rider will operate from 8:15 a.m. to 6:52 p.m. Safe Rides will not operate Nov. 23-25 and will resume on Nov. 30.
HOUSING: Office and Maintenance Division will be closed. For emergency maintenance services, call 919-968-2855.
CHAPEL HILL PUBLIC LIBRARY will be closed Thursday and Friday.
PARKING SERVICES: The Parking office will be closed.
PARKS AND RECREATION: The Plant Road office, Chapel Hill Community Center, Hargraves Recreation Center/Northside Gym, Homestead Aquatics Center and the Corner Teen Center will be closed Thursday.
