MAKER MOVEMENT

A Maker Gathering will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 18, in Meeting Room B at the Chapel Hill Public Library, 100 Library Drive.

Meeting Schedule:

  • 10:30-10:45 a.m.: Maker Share
  • 10:45-11:45 a.m.: Visioning and Planning Meeting
  • 11:45 a.m.-12 p.m.: Maker Share

The Visioning and Planning Meeting will include identifying interest groups and beginning preliminary planning of a Fall Maker Showcase and community outreach opportunities.

During the "Maker Share" parts of the gathering, a handful of makers are invited to share/present their creations. Each presenting maker will be given a table (or other space if a table doesn't work) at which to set up his/her display, and attendees will walk around to the tables/areas as if at a "Maker Faire." If you are interested in sharing your work/creations at the March 18 meeting, please email Michelle Lewis at mlewisunc@gmail.com and describe what you plan to display and your space requirements.

All who are interested are welcome to attend this event! Register at http://bit.ly/2nfAuqz.
