Homegrown Halloween: Tuesday, Oct. 31
The Town of Chapel Hill continues its preparation efforts for the night of Halloween (Tuesday, Oct. 31) with the focus on safety for people and property.
Downtown Food Truck Event: Rodeo on Rosemary
Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with the Downtown Partnership and the Raleigh Durham Mobile Food Association (RDUMFA), is delighted to announce its first ever food truck rodeo. The Rodeo on Rosemary will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 26, on the block of Rosemary Street between Henderson and North Columbia Streets.
Local trucks have helped created a vibrant food truck scene in the triangle. The Rodeo on Rosemary will feature 12 of the areas favorites, including Cousin’s Maine Lobster, well known for their start on the CBS show Shark Tank. Bandidos, Pie Pushers, Chirba Chirba, Hibachi Xpress, Only Burger, Morfa Empanadas and more will be on site.
Guests are invited to enjoy their delicious eats on the top of the Wallace Parking deck where there will be an ample supply of tables and chairs and a skyline view of Downtown Chapel Hill.
Bring the kids and enjoy an afternoon out with the family. There will be giant games for all to enjoy on The Plaza and a DJ will be spinning all of our favorite tunes.
Feed Hearts Fill Plates will have a food drive on site. Please consider bringing a few food items to donate to local refugees. Show support and spread kindness by donating culturally-appropriate foods (such as pita bread, pasta, rice, dried chickpeas, lentils, dried fava beans, olive oil and ghee). Donations will be distributed to local families by the Refugee Community Partnership.
Parking is free on Sundays in downtown Chapel Hill. Special event parking will be available on site at the Wallace Parking Deck. For more information and a map of all downtown parking visit www.parkonthehill.com
