Most municipal offices will be closed. Residential trash will not be collected (make-up day is Wednesday, May 30). Chapel Hill Transit will not operate. Community Conversations with Foreign-Born Residents of Chapel Hill

Three meetings will be held in Jan.-Feb. to provide foreign-born residents of Chapel Hill an opportunity to share experiences and recommendations for local government and services. The meetings will cover topics including:

  • Transportation
  • Housing
  • Safety
  • Leadership opportunities
  • Parks, greenways, and recreation
  • Planning and development

Meetings will be offered in multiple languages, and childcare will be available at designated meetings. All residents are welcome, and the meetings will not be recorded or require identification. Childcare is available at this meeting.

Chapel Hill Building Integrated Communities is a collaborative project of UNC Chapel Hill, the Town of Chapel Hill, and foreign-born residents. We seek newcomer perspectives to improve leadership opportunities, communication, and services in Chapel Hill.
